Job Summary:We are in search for people with sense of re-inventing themselves, in pursuit of ‘doing the right thing’, willing to take more responsibility and move up. Sound like you? Be part of our top-notch team of 13,00+ professionals in Columbia, SC location where we have 3 plants co-located under the same roof. You will be joining a finance team where we have mix of mature and high growth finance professionals supporting the monthly closing, annual planning, compliance, measuring operational performance and providing guidance on how to optimize resource utilization generating maximum wealth for the business. The Senior Financial Analyst will add significant value to the company’s bottom line through improving all aspects of financial management in a multi-million dollar operating facility.
Responsibilities:

  • Drives continuous process improvements.
  • Other Adhoc requests / projects.
  • Reviews variances to determine cause.
  • Completes all monthly reports on a timely basis with zero defects.
  • Prepares and analyzes cost reports.
  • Performs the monthly accounting close process, balance sheet reconciliations and journal entry postings.
  • Leads annual standard cost process as well as quarterly costs movement reviews.
  • Analyzes shipments, standard cost valuations, production variance, and other costs analysis.
  • Reviews transaction errors to insure proper impact on perpetual and G/L records.
  • Supports new product development.
  • Leads annual physical inventory process and related reconciliation.
  • Support compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and related audits.
  • Prepares forecasts for Shipments, Absorption, Inventory, Variances, etc.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone.
  • Communicates compellingly
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, Access, Power-Point) required.

  • Five to Ten (5-10) years’ experience in general accounting and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles).

Base Pay Range: $70,000-144,000
