Job Description

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. Some remote opportunities are available within specific departments. There are also roles that require being on-site full time. You’ll learn more about this during the application process.

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Video Editor is responsible for developing and editing compelling video content for Universal Parks and Resorts and works with creative partners to produce commercials, promos, sizzle reels, social ads, short and long-form narrative content and more for broadcast, online and in-park channels. Creates content that meets the consumer marketing goals for UPR’s domestic and international parks and products while maintaining the global brand standards of UPR and its license partners. Manages multiple projects concurrently, typically overseeing various video components related to high level marketing campaigns to ensure consistency and exceptional quality. Maintains the production-to-post-production pipeline to ensure projects move smoothly throughout the editorial process by creating dailies, assisting with color sessions, and utilizing best archival practices. Plays an active role in the curation of an ever-evolving library of video assets for the organization. Is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, most importantly Premiere and After Effects with a working knowledge of Da Vinci Resolve.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creates compelling video components for broadcast, on-line and in-park channels.

  • Develops video tactics for top tier marketing campaigns and video content series.
  • Participates in creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Manages multiple assignments while maintaining quality.
  • Assists in proper management of the post-production pipeline from ingest to final delivery.

Teamwork/Collaboration

  • Maintains effective relationships with other team members and promotes a collaborative work environment throughout UO.
  • Strives to complete projects on time and budget.
  • Interacts with stakeholders, strategists, project managers and creative partners to develop creative concepts and executions.

Maintains Solid Understanding of UOR Core Business, Brand Portfolio, Brand Standards and Target Audiences

  • Has a thorough understanding of the UPR brand and its products, can anticipate legal and licensor concerns, and is capable of ensuring a consistent adherence to UPR brand and legal standards.

EHS and UO Policies, Procedures, Training and Team Member Involvement Activities

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in RTF (Radio Television Film) or design related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience creating video content; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
