What You’re Applying For:

The Senior (Producer) Editor will be a key member of the Edmunds content team. They will report to the Manager, Post Production and work alongside producers, videographers, and video hosts to create highly polished car reviews, comparison tests, event coverage, and branded content. The senior video editor will be responsible for taking the raw footage captured in the field and creating multiple pieces of video content that will live on YouTube, the Edmunds website, and various social media channels on a regular basis. This role will work both independently and collaboratively with various members of the Edmunds content team including writers and photographers.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive projects through the post-production pipeline whilst maintaining both speed and quality
• Collaborate with video team members in the creative planning, scripting, and pre-production of upcoming projects
• At an expert level, edit video stories that are compelling, engaging and speak to our target audience
• Conceptualize and write graphic copy and voice over
• Make complex creative and editorial decisions in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Anticipate and troubleshoot technical issues that may arise
• Conceptualize and gather assets as required
• At an expert level, color correct, sound mix, and create high-resolution exports for online and other social platforms
• Support the Manager, Post-Production to continuously improve and implement new post-production processes
• Work with producers and our social media team to create engaging social video content
• Work alongside producers and the Manager, Post-Production to develop and implement new video editing and graphic styles and new formats for our video content
• Meet regularly with the production team as a representative of the post process and offer expert feedback on footage received from the field
• Conceptualize and execute new video formats
• Provide both technical and interpersonal guidance and mentoring to junior team members

What You Need:

• Advanced to Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge with team members
• Self starter and a strong collaborator
• Highly knowledgeable of Adobe Photoshop
• Ability to take notes from multiple sources and implement them in your edit
• Expert in Adobe Media Encoder
• Eagerness to re-evaluate workflows and technology to help the Post Team grow
• An eye for detail, pacing, and continuity
• Expert storytelling skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization
• Expert in Adobe Premiere
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced atmosphere

The compensation range for this position is $86,000-$150,000 per year. The base pay will take into account internal equity as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
