Could you be our next Senior Director, R&D Project Management? This position is located in our King of Prussia PA office. It is a Hybrid role. You will report to the VP, R&D Project Management.
Responsibilities:
- You will define a strategy for building main skills across Project Excellence; identify targeted R&D project-focused audiences and associated learning goals; develop a planned schedule of offerings to meet our needs
- Identify intended outcomes/improvements for participants, create scorecard and measure success linking both high-performing team behaviors and portfolio metrics for success
- Lead culture change, promoting shared values and collaboration, supporting the shift from functional-focus to project-focus
- Develop budget for management of programs; deliver value and build within approved budget.
- Introduce a change management plan to initiate and put emphasis on connection, collaboration and the need to improve the Strategy Teams (PSTs) and product champions.
- Develop and provide meeting & workshop facilitation and presentation expertise to support main TALT and PST meetings, using foundational project management, drug development and product-specific expertise
- Survey evolving project and strategies, and incorporate skills into program to promote our high-performing team culture and respective strategy
- Work with senior leaders and partners across and beyond R&D for further optimization of the project operating model, including appropriate change management; improve on the capabilities to further guide a project-focused culture, teams, and project leadership
- You will design and manage project excellence and high-performing team training programs in partnership with the enterprise L&D organization; develop content through collaboration and partnership with senior leaders of project teams and responsibilities and external experts
- Further develop a 'Community of Practice' for the GPL network, supporting ways of working and sharing of best practices (includes providing appropriate tools, templates, enhanced yet streamlined ways of working/processes), creating a foundation as a 'learning organization' focused on continuous improvement
- Create the project excellence capability to strengthen core project management enterprise to create consistency and data-driven outcomes.
- Provide oversight and management of ROI assessments; develop and capture trends; measure success and metrics; redesign accordingly
Qualifications:
- 12+ years pharmaceutical or biotech experience
- 7+ years consulting background and/or experience in training
- 10+ years' experience supervising direct reporting staff
- 12+ years' experience working within a matrix organization
- 7+ years Change Management experience
- Post-graduate qualifications in business administration or related field preferable
- Bachelor's in science/business or relevant discipline essential
