DESCRIPTION
BRDG is seeking an accomplished strategic leader and people manager to head up our newly-established new Project Management Department. The position reports to the Managing Director and will be an integral member of the company, working closely with Executive Leadership and cross functional department leaders and teams.
As the Director of the Project Management Department, you will collaborate with Executive Leadership to establish and develop the departmental vision, strategy, goals and objectives, and lead the implementation of project management practices and strategies across the company. This role requires exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, project management expertise, and the ability to drive successful project outcomes.

ROLE: DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the day to day department operations, planning and people management
- Develop and implement overarching department strategy, growth and recruiting plans to support near and long term growth and success
- Foster a project management culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and high-quality deliverables.
- Lead and manage communications with senior leadership, clients, partners and stakeholders
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, goals, deliverables, and timelines
- Identify and recruit a team of skilled project managers to staff the department, in alignment with and support Company goals and objectives
- Ensure projects are properly resourced, risks are identified and managed, and project milestones are met
- Develop a comprehensive plan for the creation and implementation of the Project Management Department, including defining the department's goals, objectives, and KPIS
- Run weekly department and interdepartmental meetings
- Design and implement standardized project management processes, methodologies, and best practices
- Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and enhancing project management practices
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance project management skills and knowledge across the organization.
- Strategic planning, development and portfolio management for key client accounts
- Collaborate with all department heads to support active and future business opportunities, project lifecycles and workflows
- Lead and inspire a team of project managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback
REQUIREMENTS
- 7-10+ years experience in a senior level management position, including client facing positions held at an agency
- Accustomed to leading internal and external cross-functional, interdisciplinary and matrixed teams
- Background in creative, design, production, digital, marketing and communications studio or agency
- Strong practical knowledge and proficiency of various project management methodologies, software and tools
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Experience managing multiple teams, accounts and projects simultaneously
- Experience at companies experiencing high growth a plus
- Experience working with brands directly and through agencies or other third parties
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project, professional and personal goals
