Job Description
As Senior Director, Product Management at Opala, you will be responsible for building products customers love, and leading and growing a team of cross-functional product managers that partner tightly with engineers. You will drive agile best practices for building, discovering and delivering products as single-threaded teams working backward from the customer.


Your primary role is to ensure that you and your team deliver innovative, user-focused, and profitable products that meet the needs of our customers while also driving growth for the company. You will own your own products and will be accountable for the overall success of the products. Ensuring we are delivering value to our users, and achieving the desired business outcomes.


In this role, you will be expected to contribute your knowledge and expertise in product discovery and delivery to guide your team in solving complex business and customer problems, building a Voice of Customer program (lightweight), and build prototypes. You will be responsible for identifying market trends, understanding customer needs, and leveraging data insights to develop product roadmaps and strategies that drive user engagement, retention, and growth.


As a Senior Director, Product Management, you will need to demonstrate your ability to dive deep and earn trust to influence and collaborate with other senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization. You will be responsible for providing product updates, presenting business cases, and aligning stakeholders on product priorities and trade-offs.

Salary/Benefits: The Seattle base salary range for this full-time position is $195k-$205k . Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, EAP, short-term and long-term disability, 16 days PTO, 8 paid holidays, fully paid holiday closure, parental and family medical leave, 401k, stock options and annual bonuses and salary increases based on merit.

Competencies


  • Demonstrated understanding of agile product discovery and delivery techniques and methods (agile SDLC)
  • Ability to dive deep, drive ownership, and urgency as part of a fast-paced startup environment
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business administration
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional product teams and work collaboratively with engineers
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
  • Strong business acumen and experience in analyzing data to inform product decisions and strategy
  • Proven track record of delivering successful, user-focused products that drive business growth
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, including the ability to present complex ideas and concepts to senior leaders and stakeholders
