Within the Scooter’s Coffee brand sits Harvest Roasting, which includes our warehouse, bakery, and roastery. Location

This position may be performed with flexible working arrangements, including a mix of work from home and in-office work. Scooter’s Coffee is headquartered in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate lives in Omaha, NE. Relocation is not available for this role.

Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Director, Procurement to lead our procurement and sourcing activities. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of procurement strategies, and a track record of optimizing supply chain efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness. The Senior Director, Procurement will play a critical role in developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute procurement strategies that support the company's strategic goals and objectives. Lead the procurement team in establishing short-term and long-term procurement plans, while continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

· Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and agreements. Monitor supplier performance, assess risks, and implement measures to ensure the continuity of the supply chain.

· Procurement Processes: Design, implement, and manage procurement processes that ensure efficiency, transparency, and compliance with relevant regulations. Streamline procurement procedures and adopt best practices to enhance the procurement function's effectiveness.

· Cost Management: Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising product quality and service levels. Analyze market trends, evaluate supplier pricing, and implement strategies to optimize procurement costs.

· Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, production, and finance, to align procurement activities with overall supply chain management. Work closely with these teams to anticipate demand, manage inventory levels, and mitigate supply chain disruptions.

· Sourcing Strategies: Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies that take into consideration factors such as supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation. Identify potential new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities to ensure a diversified supplier base.

· Risk Management: Identify potential procurement risks and implement strategies to mitigate these risks. Monitor geopolitical, economic, and industry trends that could impact the supply chain, and develop contingency plans accordingly.

· Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

· Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement operations. Regularly review and report on KPIs to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred

· Proven track record of at least 5 years in a senior procurement leadership role,

· In-depth understanding of procurement strategies, supplier management, and sourcing best practices

· Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to secure favorable terms and pricing

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions

· Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team

· Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards

· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

· Proficiency in procurement software and systems

· Proven experience in driving cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards
