Job Description

As the Senior Director of Supply Chain Planning, you will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of supply chain planning processes to ensure the smooth flow of materials and products throughout our global supply chain network. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales, to optimize inventory levels, minimize lead times, and meet customer demands while achieving cost and efficiency targets. Your extensive knowledge of supply chain management and your ability to lead and inspire a team will be essential in driving operational excellence and achieving business objectives.


Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain planning strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
  2. Lead a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to drive individual and team success.
  3. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods to meet production schedules and customer demands.
  4. Oversee demand planning processes to accurately forecast sales, manage inventory levels, and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  5. Implement effective production planning methodologies to optimize capacity utilization and ensure on-time delivery of products.
  6. Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction, to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiencies.
  7. Drive cross-functional collaboration to align supply chain planning processes with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and logistics functions.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective communication, supplier performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  9. Evaluate and select supply chain planning systems and tools to support process optimization and automation.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain planning to drive innovation and improve operational effectiveness.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in senior supply chain leadership roles within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  3. In-depth knowledge of end-to-end supply chain planning processes, including demand forecasting, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.
  4. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
  5. Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  7. Proficiency in using supply chain planning software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  8. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  10. Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory requirements in the automotive sector.
