The Role: ***MUST BE BASED IN COLORADO OR CALIFORNIA***


The Senior Director of Product Management reports to the Chief Design Officer and is responsible for PopSockets’ product planning and execution through the lifecycle of the business. This includes gathering and prioritizing requirements for the product, defining the vision for the product, and collaborating with other leaders from the design, engineering, packaging, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure that the financial and consumer-experience goals are met. The Senior Director of Product Development also ensures that the product vision and strategy aligns with the vision and strategy of the company.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear, decisive, direction to stakeholders
  • Cultivate among stakeholders an understanding of each product's vision, the business case behind the vision, and the plan required to drive respective product initiatives with clarity
  • Develop and oversee each product’s roadmap and manage it to meet the deliverables for the business
  • Partner with sales department to develop strategies to improve current-product sales performance and develop new products to amplify performance by channel
  • Oversee all activities of the product-management team and ensure that the functions of product managers are efficiently and effectively executed
  • Conduct consumer and market research that informs current and future product needs
  • Ensure that product briefs include necessary guidance for all stakeholders to successfully execute their parts in bringing the product vision to life
  • Promote products by clearly communicating their value and benefits at executive briefings, marketing events, online consumer platforms, and so forth
  • Align stakeholders across design, engineering, packaging, creative, global marketing, and global sales on how each product vision should be executed through every stage of development, marketing, and sales
  • Engage extensively with consumers in order to gain firsthand insight on consumer needs
  • Develop and communicate across leadership and all stakeholders a strong vision for how the PopSockets' product portfolio will evolve in light of consumer insights, industry research, and business needs
  • Collaborate with leaders of design, engineering, packaging, marketing, sales, and design business units to (i) translate the product needs into requirements and to drive consensus across the teams and (ii) develop a clear and efficient product road-mapping, product planning, prioritization, and agile product-development process

Requirements:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive team
  • Excellent leadership qualities including the ability to influence, mentor, and inspire product managers in applying various strategies for the product
  • 12-15+ years product-management experience
  • High caliber, dynamic personality
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record in product planning, defining and launching successful products, developing unified product portfolios
  • 5+ years experience leading and driving the product strategy for a prominent brand
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel analytical tools
  • Demonstrable track record of building ambitious goals and delivering against them on a consistent basis
  • 5+ years experience leading, managing, and developing teams to high performers/high potential


Compensation: $175,000 - $200,000 base + bonus potential
