Senior Desktop Engineer Jobs

The Senior Desktop Engineer is responsible for the continuous evolution of workstation computing environment. This position is responsible for technical implementation of workstation management, application deployment and updates, and asset management. This position proposes, designs, and implements enhancements and additions to the current environment. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Work with engineers to maintain and enhance the Intune/MECM infrastructure environment.

• Ensure schedule adherence to upgrades to a variety of OS builds.

• Assist in the development of associated infrastructure components (AD configuration, Group Policy settings, etc.)

• Develop and execute lab testing plans (including automated and manual testing processes)
• Deploy, troubleshoot, and manage Bitlocker encryption on Windows workstation devices.

• Research and develop standard configuration settings appropriate for application packaging.

• 3rd level SME support on the desktop.

• Participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Administers Azure AD/Active Directory, Group Policy, KMS, etc

• Supports patching processes and best practices for Windows, Office, third party applications across virtual, physical, and mobile endpoints.

Required Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in mobile device management and system management Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), etc.

• Experience with Jamf, Microsoft Intune, and other workstation management platforms
