Senior Corporate Analyst – Global Leveraged Finance

Senior Corporate Analyst – Global Leveraged Finance, RBC Global Asset Management US Inc., Stamford, CT:

Summarize industry and company specific investment drivers and risks and make recommendations for inclusion in both long-only and long/short funds. Prepare integrated financial models and conduct sensitivity analyses. Conduct credit analysis of potential investee companies, covering a range of different company sizes and a variety of industry sectors. Write reports and make recommendations to the Portfolio and Senior Portfolio Managers. Analyze historic and forecast financial statements. Perform due diligence on investee companies and monitor portfolio holdings. Capture alpha decision, research and maintain models in RBC proprietary research tools.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Management, or a related field, and 10 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 7 years of experience in each of the following:

• US GAAP and IFRS financial accounting standards;
• Bond and loan High Yield (HY) documentation;
• Financial modeling in Excel;
• Valuations of credit instruments;
• Utilizing Bloomberg system.
• Global Leveraged Financial products, including, bonds, loans, and credit default swaps;
• Credit rating forward looking analysis; and

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in the following:

• Experience with sector and issuer dynamics, recession/expansion scenarios, proprietary analysis of individual issuer strengths and weaknesses, financial forecasts for individual corporates of the HY (High Yield) autos, auto parts, homebuilders and building materials sectors.

Travel: International travel 10% and Domestic travel 10%
