AECOM is seeking Senior Chief Engineer based in New York, New York office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordination with design team to direct the review of schematic engineering drawings developed by others
• Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
• Working in coordination with the Design Team, the Lead Engineer will assist and often lead the development and review of conceptual designs related to high-rise building systems.
• Interact with vendors, regulatory agencies, and contractors
• Manages portfolio of multiple projects.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations that explain research, findings, and recommendations
• Review vendor drawings/data to ensure conformance with project specifications in a design-build environment
• Attend client meetings and/or site field visits
• Lead the development and/or review of schematic designs and specifications with an emphasis on electrical and mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, security, and electrical services for high-rise buildings
• Review alternate technical concepts to confirm adherence with design standards, cost efficiencies, operations, and maintenance
• Creating, updating, and implementing design standards
• Supervises and directs Project Managers within a program of projects.

BA/BS plus 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Skills:

• No sponsorship for this requisition

• 15 years of demonstrated senior level experience
• Experience executing work in 3D model environments
• Demonstrated experience with specifying mechanical equipment (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and electrical systems
• Demonstrated experience with engineering software packages including collaborative models
• Experience with high-rise commercial, institutional and/or mixed-use projects, preferably in NY

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $245,000
