Tetra Tech SWW performs civil infrastructure design and permitting support for a combination of municipal governments and private companies throughout the US. Our team is growing at a steady pace and is in need of a key position in our Diamond Bar, CA office to continue to support future and ongoing contracts. Our office consists of several technical disciplines that provide services within the environmental, geotechnical, mechanical, civil, construction, and field services. This position is a part-time, as needed role. The pay scale for this position is $70-$80 an hour based on qualifications and experience.

Your Role:

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings using 3D visualization of terrain, cut and fill slopes, concrete structures, and pipelines
• Help maintain and update CAD standards for the design group
• Prepare figures and details using AutoCAD for various reports
• Create design drawings for heavy civil infrastructure including mass grading, drainage, roads, tanks, pipelines, and concrete structures using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to thoroughly understand 3D geometric relationships within a 2D image
• Efficiently produce final product drawings from concept sketches with moderate technical guidance

Qualifications:

• Computer knowledge in MS Office Suite
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work efficiently when managing multiple tasks
• 20+ years of experience
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience in an engineering consulting firm is a plus
