By developing audience outreach strategies, fostering internal and external partnerships, identifying new opportunities and managing databases, this person will be responsible for managing the audience growth strategy for WPL news programs, increasing each program’s leadership reach and presenting audience insights. This position will also look at strategies and enhancements to ensure this curated, leadership audience receives the best experience on site, whether those events are The Post’s headquarters, across the country or international. As an integral member of the team, he or she will be responsible for growing Post Live’s core audience and their engagement with our programs, both on site and virtual, recommending new opportunities and overseeing the implementation of these strategies.
You would be joining a fast-paced, highly collaborative and creative team that produces hundreds of virtual and in-person events a year, including curated dinners, large-scale full-day summits and everything in between.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Convert leads to registrations by tailoring external messages and marketing copy to specific audiences
  • Bolster our in-room audience experience by identifying on-site enhancements and providing stellar customer service
  • Think creatively and strategically to hand-curate audiences relative to the type of event, whether intimate dinners, large-scale summits and events out of market, including non U.S. locations
  • To build a strong, qualified audience of thought leaders for every Post Live event (virtual and in-person), manage an influencer audience strategy, which includes but is not limited to developing outreach strategies and best practices and overseeing audience databases
  • Identify and foster multiple internal and external partnerships throughout the year to create new growth channels for leads and audience retention
  • Analyze and interpret audience insights to identify trends and recommendations for success
Motivations:
  • You are organized, driven, creative, collaborative and a team player. No task is too big or too small.
  • You are extremely detail-oriented and adept at juggling multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced culture.
  • You are passionate about events, creating the best experience for attendees and exceeding audience benchmarks.
  • You are creative and willing to experiment but also driven by data and research and enjoy coming up with solutions to challenges.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a college or university
  • Media, marketing, agency or project management background (4+ years)
  • Ability to work independently, with little oversight
  • Outstanding skills in communication, time management, organization and teamwork
  • Strong writing and copywriting
  • 2-5 years experience curating audiences and building experiences for a variety of events including large scale conferences, intimate dinners and other gatherings. Experience with buliding audiences in various markets and internationally a plus.
  • Strong news judgment or background in journalism a plus
