The Opportunity
You will report to the Executive Director, providing strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of academic programs at Southern New Hampshire University's Global Campus (GC). You will bring broad knowledge of the assigned academic unit and knowledge of the needs, strengths, challenges, and solutions that support the health and success of programs and students within an academic unit.
You are well-versed in and connected to the national conversation regarding higher education, around student outcomes, business education, workforce needs, and different learning modalities such as competency-based education. To be successful you "know how to build the box and when to think outside of it."
We collaborate with different partners including Marketing, University Partnerships, University Campus, Learning Science and Assessment, Academic Resources and Technology, Center for Online Learning and Teaching, Student Experience Teams, and other SNHU departments to ensure that programs are healthy, growing, vibrant and present students with an interoperable environment that maximizes the opportunity for student success.
You will lead a team of academic staff, which includes Associate Deans, as assigned, and full- and part-time faculty. As part of this team, you will implement and oversee activities that support student engagement, student experience, and student learning.

You'll Get To:
- Contribute to capacity planning and resource allocation toward the goal of supporting and prioritizing projects
- Collaborate with instructional and curriculum design team to ensure learning theory and best practices are applied to program and course development
- Ensure that designated programs meet programmatic and NECHE regional accreditation standards
- Coordinate efforts with Faculty Recruiting and the Center for Online Learning and Teaching (COLT) to provide faculty training and evaluation toward the goal of hiring and maintaining a pool of faculty
- Interpret data that informs decision-making to support program health and success
- Conduct environmental scanning and research in collaboration with internal and external partners to determine trends and inform actions for future success of an interoperable institution
- Collaborate with Marketing to analyze latest opportunities in other potential programs and related innovations
- Be the liaison between the respective academic unit and other appropriate SNHU departments
- Engage with project management support to manage strategic plans to assure the achievement of important benchmarks and performance indicators
- Ensure smooth implementation and establish standard operating procedures for new programs and innovations
- Collaborate to help implement processes associated with our strategic and operational commitments and goals
- Work across the organization to identify strategies, needs, and impacts of new programs and innovations
What We're Looking For:
- Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Attendance at special events such as graduation required.
- 3-5 years of related experience working in a similar role
- Master's degree in a social science-related discipline; Doctorate or terminal degree
- Demonstrated experience in online program curriculum and development
- Have a technical background through degree or work experience
