Senior Application Engineer Jobs

The primary function of the Application Engineer is to achieve acceptability of the company's Electrical products in the marketplace, while providing technical leadership and mentoring for sales engineers, OEMs, outside rep agencies, and to both internal and external customers. This position will be responsible for leading the design, development and validation of company products and service applications.

In this function:

• You will work with institutional end users to gain acceptance and promote company products
• You will assist customers with design build opportunities.
• You will conduct product seminars and training on company products and solutions to end users, consultants and sales engineers
• You will call on electrical engineers at related consulting firms across the assigned sales territory to assist with technical design and position the company related products in a preferred position
• You will provide support on major projects including submittals drawings and interfacing with the customer and project consultants

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Project Management, Product Management, Sales, Custom Order Engineering, Application Engineering or equal.

Minimum of 1 year experience in performing specification reviews and/or technical analysis for switchgear products.

Minimum of 1 year experience with product and application knowledge with experience in interpreting specifications and one-line diagrams from customer RFQ’s for products such as low voltage assemblies, medium voltage drives, medium voltage assemblies, motor control centers, panelboards, switchboards, low and medium voltage power circuit breakers and ATS.

Sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without requiring company sponsorship.
