As a Full Stack Java Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Java based external facing application and working with different teams within the company on enhancements, production support and documentation. As a Full Stack Java Developer on this Global Technology-PGIM Systems team, you will partner with end users, product owners, and QA team on challenging assignments using Agile methodology and work with state-of-the-art technologies. Responsibilities will include daily stand-ups, technical meetings with QA and product owners, development, unit testing, presentations, training, etc. We offer our technology professionals access to a variety of resources for professional development so you can grow your career with Prudential. Primary Responsibilities:

• Research problems discovered by quality assurance or product support with a strong sense of ownership and develop solutions to address the problems
• Employ industry best practices to deliver world-class solutions. Ensure developed solutions remain compliant with all applicable Prudential standards
• Support Batch processes written in Java, Python, Unix Script
• Committed to a spirit of authentic partnership – to colleagues both internal and external to the organization
• Demonstrating experience with taking intelligent risks and leveraging a ‘test and learn’ mentality
• Work closely with product owner to understand business requirements and transform them into testable components
• Conduct unit testing and integration testing for functionality
• Drive software development activities to meet schedules and timelines
• Enable change, help accelerate innovation
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and how they can be applied to Prudential

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of MS-Excel
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledgeable in Python, PowerShell, Unix Scripting.
• Acquainted with Agile development (Jenkins, Bitbucket, JIRA, etc)
• Good understanding of relational database concepts (SQL Server, DB2)
• Possess excellent organization, communication and time management skills
• Strong diagnostic, problem solving, and analytical skills
• 3-5 years’ experience in Java/J2EE, Eclipse, WAS, Liberty
• This position is Hybrid based out of Newark, NJ
• Experience with Web Services and modern UI/UX is a plus
• Strong analytical skills

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $93,200.00 to $138,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
