Job Mission


The Senior Analyst, Consumer Insights & Analytics will work closely with multiple business functions to drive data-driven pricing decisions across the go-to-market process at New Balance.


This individual will be an expert on pricing best practices and methodologies, including, but not limited to, conjoint. They will deliver data-driven competitive benchmarking, conduct primary market research, and present actionable recommendations to internal partners. In addition, this individual will be responsible for evaluating new pricing analytics methodologies and technologies to ensure New Balance is at the cutting edge of the field. This work will improve operating efficiencies in the go-to-market process and directly impact revenue and margin.


Major Accountabilities


Execution and Analysis


  • Aggregate data from different regional teams and business functions and conduct analyses in a robust and repeatable way
  • Conduct extensive competitive landscape analysis by using internal dashboards and third-party retail intelligence tools
  • Support ad-hoc pricing related projects as requested
  • Conduct analyses to support pricing initiatives for the footwear and apparel categories at a seasonal cadence
  • Conduct consumer research, such as Conjoint Analysis, to inform pricing decisions
  • Evaluate new technologies and pricing methodologies


Collaboration


  • Collaborate with Product Creation, Global and Regional Merchandising, Finance, and Demand Planning teams to gather the necessary pricing data and intel to run analyses
  • Translate complex analyses into high-impact recommendations for key stakeholders


Requirements For Success


  • Deep understanding of retail pricing strategies, research methodologies and consumer behavior
  • Advanced statistical knowledge for analyzing quantitative data
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Marketing, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Consumer Insights and/or Management Consulting with a focus on pricing
  • A collaborative mindset and working style
  • Experience with pricing platforms such as Sawtooth, Conjoint.ly, Qualtrics, Dynata, etc
  • Experience translating consumer insights into actionable business recommendations

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
