Your New Role


The Senior Accountant, Studio Controllership, role reports to the Director of Games Accounting and is responsible for supporting the Games financial reporting, revenue, cash receipts, and other general accounting activities/processes of the Games business unit. The role provides support for various stakeholders including Consolidated Financial Reporting Group (CFR), Financial Contract Reporting (“FCRA”) audit requests, external and internal auditors, among others, and assists in special projects as assigned.


Your Role Accountabilities

**Provide support for the monthly/quarterly close reporting deliverables to Corporate Financial Reporting Group.**


  • Build, foster, and maintain good working relationships with members of Studios Controllership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of overall monthly close activities. This includes, but not limited to, journal entry review/preparation, proper posting of revenue, sales analysis, revenue deferral schedules, and trial balance review.
  • Provide support in managing the day-to-day general ledger activities. Duties include performing/overseeing regular GL account reviews, intercompany and balance sheet account reconciliations.

**Provide support for revenue and cash receipts.**


  • Ensure resolution of aged items.
  • Prepare cash flow reports for various stakeholders, which include cash receipts and cash disbursements.
  • Customer revenue statements are received monthly. Coordinate with service delivery team and Games manager to ensure proper billing, revenue recognition, and cash receipt.
  • Organize and maintain revenue summary reports.

**Provide support for various stakeholders (Games Business Development/Administration, FCRA, and 3rd Party Partners)**


  • Prepare support, alongside manager, for applicable SOX documentation and compliance and for providing audit support to external auditors during quarterly and year-end audit reviews
  • Prepares ad hoc reporting to support partners with questions on financial information as needed.
  • Support the Business Administration and Partner Reporting group, through analysis, research, and report preparation.

**Assist in special projects as assigned.**


  • Complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as determined by internal management.
  • Make recommendations to improve process efficiencies and develop/administer procedures and guidelines.


Qualifications & Experience


  • Manages intermediate-level processes and projects with minimal input from others by taking proactive action to resolve general challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles that pertain to scope of work.
  • Utilizes advanced analytical skills and draws keen insights from the data.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in accounting or related financial area.
  • Media and entertainment industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting/Finance. CPA preferred.

**The Legal Bits…**


In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $62,790.00 - $116,610.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
