Job Description

The Senior Accountant position is ideal for a self-starting, highly motivated individual who enjoys working with a

team and strives to make an impact on Company growth. Reporting directly to Company ownership, the Senior

Accountant will lead the Accounting Department and be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all

accounting team processes. With a strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the

individual will oversee and execute general ledger management, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, and

ad hoc projects. The Accounting Support Manager will drive process improvement and efficiency gains within their

department and measure performance by tracking output and quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion and distribution of relevant tax forms including vendor credit applications, sales tax

exemptions, W-9 requests and annual 1099 preparation

• Prepare quarterly financial status reports for submission to federal, state, and local entities

• Perform journal entry, preparation, and bank reconciliations.

• Complete month-end and year-end close, audit preparation and schedules, and operating budget

preparation

• Maintain the General Ledger, run month end close processes and prepare financial statements

• Coordinate insurance and year end audit support requests

• File multi state tax returns

• Monitor Company expenses and support product pricing decisions

• Support and work in tandem or with other Accounting Department employees

• Ad hoc projects as necessary


Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Attention to detail, productivity, organization, and dependability

• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality

• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping, cost accounting and accounting software

• Familiarity with Syteline, Dynamics 365, Business Central is a plus

• Sales tax experience is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time while operating a computer and

occasionally move about inside the office and production floor to access file cabinets, office machinery,

etc.


Education Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or related field

Experience Requirement:

• 5+ years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
