Job Description
THE POSITION

Then join the Department of Conservation and Natural Resource's Sproul Forest District and assist with the maintenance of Forest District facilities, boundaries, trails and equipment. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Semi-Skilled Laborer, you will provide semi-skilled work in maintenance of State Forest facilities on the Sproul State Forest and provide forest fire protection within the Sproul Forest District.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.
  • Seasonal full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
  • Work hours are (Monday) OFF; (Tuesday -Thursday) 7:00am - 5:30pm; (Friday) 7:00am - 3:00pm.
  • This is a seasonal, full-time position WITHOUT benefits. The season runs from approximately March until November at which time the employee is placed on leave without pay.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
