Position Description

Responsible for conducting various tasks to support other workers in the plant. Assisting other crew members by delivering the materials and equipment necessary to complete projects on time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
• Handle and transport materials and equipment
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
• Put up warning signs when necessary
• Assist other employees on site
• Collect trash, debris and other waste to keep the work site clean and safe
• Use power tools when necessary

Qualifications

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
• Commitment to safety rules

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
