Job Summary:

Breckenridge Resort Security Services is now accepting applications to serve in the role of Manager. This position is great fit for a values-based individual passionate about professional service delivery in a resort community. We are searching for an energetic individual that strives for excellence in all that they do!


This year-round role coordinates the delivery of Security Services at Breckenridge Resort. This department: detects potential sources of security and safety hazards, coordinates emergency response, resolves disturbances, intakes complaints, investigates incidents, compiles reports and elevates information for appropriate roles, stakeholders and organizations.


A Security Services Manager Interacts with employees, guests and internal/external stakeholders. They work closely with Fire/EMS/Rescue/Law Enforcement. The Security Services Manager prioritizes discretionary time to support field operations while developing individuals, teams and the department for future service.


Job Specifications:

  • The expected range is $58,000 - $68,175 + annual bonus

Job Skills / Requirements:

  • Applicants who are successful in this role are passionate about leadership, helping people and problem-solving in a teamwork environment. The successful candidate will possess the ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations. They also nurture a culture of fun and overall pride in serving with the entire Breckenridge Resort Team.
  • The Security Services Manager leads the team that conducts investigations involving company vehicles, guest injuries, thefts, suspicious activity, fraudulent activities, while also supporting public safety response, and other aspects of resort operations. The Security Services Manager maintains a working relationship with Mountain and Hospitality leaders to ensure alignment on areas of focus and ensure mutual objectives are being met.
  • Successful candidates will have a minimum 2 years relevant work experience. Guest service and emergency services related experience is preferred. Essential abilities include: ability to communicate clearly and concisely, demonstrate a consistent positive approach when interacting with the public, stakeholders and employees, verbally de-escalate tense situations involving irate guests, strong writing skills, prepare clear and concise reports. Calm, clear and independent decision making is essential, as is a professional demeanor and strong administrate background.
  • The position requires shift work, including holidays, weekends and may require additional on-call work hours.
  • This role is responsible performance management of all department employees. They establish goals and development plans and evaluate performance for year-round direct reports. And they implement employee programs to promote safety, proactive development and support business outcomes.
  • This role provides input to establish and manage to departmental budget and manages spending to maximize revenues and profitability.
  • Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions. We’re looking for a leader that will take pride in leading the team to assist other department as needed; and remains committed to everyday positive workspace culture.


Additional qualification/requirements include:

  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License - required
  • The ability to have emotional control in stressful situations.
  • Strong computer skills including self-directed online applications and systems.
  • Transfer equipment into/from vehicles, lift 50lbs – required
  • Working knowledge of Emergency Response, Incident Management and ICS – preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent - required
  • Available to work a variety of shifts – including weekends, holidays and over-night shifts.
  • May perform any and all responsibilities of subordinates, and other duties as assigned.
  • Experience in Performance Evaluation, Training Programs and Records Management – preferred
  • Can display empathy & compassion under stressful conditions.


The expected pay range is $58,000 - $68,175 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
