Job Description
We are currently looking for Security Sales Specialists to join our teams across various business groups, for varying customer sizes, in our enterprise, regulated, and partner services organizations.

We are looking for passionate, credible Security Sales Specialists with a drive for developing and winning security sales opportunities that deliver significant customer value and accelerate their digital transformation journey. As a Security Sales Specialist, you will seek to understand customer challenges and priorities, identify security opportunities, build security solutions, and demonstrate these solutions to win the technical decision. You will also lead consultative customer conversations and collaborate on the planning, orchestration, and execution of end-to-end security opportunities with a virtual team of resources across the Microsoft and Partner ecosystem. By applying to this role, you will be considered for multiple opportunities within Microsoft across the United States including locations beyond where the role is posted. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home. Travel percentages will vary according to role.
Responsibilities
  • Sales Excellence: Collaborates with extended sales team, partners, and marketing to conduct business analysis to pursue high-potential customers and develop a target list of potential business. Manages the end-to-end Security pipeline of the assigned territory. Conducts forecasting for assigned accounts and develops a portfolio and territory plan with guidance. Completes required training and obtains relevant product and role certifications aligned to the role and workload/industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Leads end-to-end Security conversations, shares best practices and key competitor knowledge across solution areas and evaluates opportunities to make recommendations on pursuit or withdrawal.
  • Scaling and Collaboration: Collaborates on the planning, orchestration, and execution of end-to-end Security opportunities with a network of partners to cross-sell and up-sell products, solutions and services.
  • Sales Execution: Introduces how to enable digital transformation across workloads and collaborates with a virtual team to assess customer needs and proactively build an external stakeholder mapping to implement strategies that accelerate the closing of deals, drive consumption and licensing transactions, and grow the business with current and new Customers.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of solution or services sales experience.
  • Domain experience in Microsoft Security and/or Compliance products OR competitive experience.
  • 7+ years of security-related sales or account management experience working in an industry (e.g., Healthcare, Government, Education, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Retail)
Solution Area Specialists IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $82,400 - $146,400 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $111,700 - $159,800 per year.
Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,300 - $180,300 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $140,900 - $199,000 per year.
