Your Impact:


Provide administrative support for security functions to include physical and personnel security and security awareness. Primary duty will be to maintain the internal security database and personnel electronic folders. May perform other duties such as, prepare visit requests, fingerprints, prepare DD254s, initiate and review eQips, provide support to JT segments that do not perform their own security functions, and provide backup support to the cleared segments as needed.

Perform tasks using NISS, DISS, e-QIP, badging equipment, security databases, and SWFT.

May be required to in/out process security clearances as well as new employees and process periodic reinvestigations using DISS.

Attend periodic Security training and meetings.

Prepare the necessary documents and reports.

Review and process incoming distribution.

Perform data entry and update in security databases. Knowledge of NISPOM and other security regulations, manuals, processes (NISPOM, 32CFR, Part 117, OPSEC principles, Insider Threat policies).

Maintain compliance with DOD security and related policies, procedures.

Knowledge of DISS, NISS, Derivative Classification, ACCS.

May administer self-inspections and contribute to annual DCSA assessments.

Tracks foreign travel, indocs, debriefs of management, government customers, employees, subcontractors.

Ability to quickly learn new processes (DISS) and adapt to constantly changing regulations.

Ability to perform under peak periods of quick support projects.

Other administrative duties will be assigned as required such as providing support for contracts and business development.

Must be a team player willing to assist with high priority quick suspense projects.


Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Expert level skills in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) are a must.
  • 2 years of college and/or 3 years of security related experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and multitask environment and be capable of prioritizing work and de-conflicting task/project schedules.
  • Security clearance required for access to DoD classified information. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a clearance at the Secret level or higher or who have held at least this level of clearance within the last two years.
  • Strong, effective, and professional verbal and written communications skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with DISS and SIMS training and experience.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements of Position: Position will require heavy use of computing systems. Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. May require travel to other sites.

Work Environment: Generally, an office. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. This position is a remote position with possible travel to Tullahoma, TN periodically. Limited travel will be required, up to 10% of the time.

Equipment and Machines: Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, and other equipment including desk supplies and other work-related tools as required.

Attendance: Regular hours will be Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Typical salary range for this position is $48,400 - $86,850 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position. For “remote” positions, salary to be offered is geographic dependent.

Other Essential Functions: Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, and co-workers. Must have clear, concise, and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion. Must take and pass a drug test and background check. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be willing to travel as needed.
