Security Officer Jobs

Under the direction of the Senior Security Officer or Loss Prevention Manager and Store Director, a security officer's areas of responsibility should include but not be limited to the following:
Observe/patrol total store and contiguous grounds to identify/prevent potential thefts from Jewel, by customers, employees and others.
Protect and safeguard Jewel property, Jewel employees and its customers.
Discourage and prevent thefts by monitoring individuals carrying money in the store, such as checkers making turn-ins and carrying tills.
Detain individuals observed in illegal acts and attempt to procure their written admission to the crime; may arrange arrest by the police.
Prepare written documentation of "stops" (i.e., detaining an individual observed committing a crime) to describe the case against the offenders and patterns of theft which may permit development of procedures to prevent such thefts in the future.
Support and comply with Jewel's safety programs, safety rules and procedures; check fire extinguishers and aid those who have an accident in the store.
Under direction of the Store Manager/Store Director, may gather relevant information concerning accident in the store.
Perform other miscellaneous security related duties as assigned
