Security Officer Jobs

We are one park district, one community. High school diploma or equivalent (required). Minimum of two years of experience in a security and safety program required or previous recipient of a Permanent Employment Registration Card (PERC) from the State of Illinois or equivalent from another state; or prior successful completion of a 20-hour basic security training course certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. Basic knowledge of safety laws and codes as they pertain to the Park District and the laws of the city, county and state. Basic knowledge of all safety procedures. Understanding of park district goals, objectives, programs and standards of maintenance. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work harmoniously with other employees. Ability to communicate effectively in both speaking and writing. Ability to instruct personnel in safety matters. Valid Illinois State Driver's License.
