Security Officer -Full Time - Evenings - Whether you’re interested in a career as a police officer, a firefighter or growing your career in healthcare, Lahey Health provides a solid career path and values individual contributions. One year of Security, Military or fast-paced customer service work experience is preferred, and as well as enrollment in a Criminal Justice education program.

Our shifts include Full-Time, Part-Time, Per Diem, days, nights and evenings. This position will have rotating days off and weekends, scheduling will be based on department needs.

As part of the security team, you will:

• Building alarms
• Door alarms and panel
• All doors and locks and radio equipment
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle
• Coordinate with local police, fire and emergency personnel
• Check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked ingress/egress and unauthorized persons
• Respond to all codes and alarms
• Complete extensive de-escalation, defensive tactics, nasal Naloxone and bleeding control training
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance and required equipment checks
• Prepare logs and reports
• Vehicle equipment
• Elevator phones
• Outside emergency phones
• Respond to medical emergency calls including slips and falls in the facility or on the grounds
• Fire alarm panels
• Provide assistance to patients, visitors, and colleagues with vehicle problems
