Security Guard Jobs

Arcata Associates, Inc. (Arcata) is looking for a Security Guard to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL.
Position Summary:
Responsible for performing Security Guard functions at AUTEC WPB facility in support of a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and government assets.
Duties involve:

• Intervene directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or persons.
• Maintain a level of continued physical fitness.
• Will operate LENEL Monitoring system.
• Carry out detailed instructions and procedures primarily oriented to ensure that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered and reported to appropriate authority.
• Performs Pass and ID functions.
• Will use Microsoft Office products to update and create reports.
• Documents and investigates security incidents and accidents as required.
• Monitors alarms and CC.TV's and takes appropriate action when necessary.
• Assist visitors and customers by answering questions and giving directions.
• Inspects and controls access of materials into and out of facilities.
• Serve at a fixed post, making rounds on foot, or escorting persons or property.
• Maintains logs.
• Observe and report security and emergency situations.
• Makes security checks of assigned facilities and areas.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be a U.S citizen.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S government security clearance.
High school diploma or GED required.
At least two years of related experience required.
Valid Driver's license required.
Basic administrative, clerical and computer skills in a windows environment required.
Must meet minimum physical standards which include the ability to perform normal or Emergency duties requiring physical exertion such as standing/walking/driving/jumping for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications

• Current Secret security clearance preferred.
• Valid Passport preferred.
