The Third Shift Safety and Security Officer works the overnight shift at Grand Canyon Railway and is a part of a guest service oriented, diverse and flexible team. Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the overall safety and security of the Grand Canyon Railway property locations, its guests, and its employees, while ensuring guest service is top priority. No previous security experience necessary, we will happily train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Works with other departments with confidential and security needs.
  • Provide shuttle service to guests and employees throughout the Grand Canyon Railway properties.
  • Ensure safety and security of all internal and external guests is top priority.
  • Work productively under minimal supervision.
  • Incident reporting as needed.
  • Calmly and professionally handles medical, fire, security and/or safety situations.
  • Maintains awareness of all emergency protocol and procedures.
  • Attends and successfully completes ongoing training classes
  • Maintains professional working relationships with local Law Enforcement and other designated officials.
  • Other duties as assigned..
  • Adhere to all safety, Risk Management and environmental policies.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • A valid Arizona Driver’s License is required.
  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office programs is required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bi-lingual (English Spanish) language skills are a plus.
  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement is a plus.
  • Radio communication knowledge and etiquette is a plus.
