Your role at Clorox:

Clorox is looking for an experienced and talented Scrum Master to join our team! As our Scrum Master, you will be working with a team of highly skilled and experienced engineers. You will guide, coach and motivate your team with goal of increasing productivity. The right candidate will be passionate about Agile thinking (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc) and have a passion for teamwork, collaboration and quality.


In this role, you will:

Responsible to coordinate and manage the major projects life cycle change requirements.

  • Proactively anticipates and manages planning activities driving readiness for future phase scope, timeline, budget and resources (charter deadlines, budget assumptions, vendor management signals, etc.) of the program. (Working closely with BRD/M and Capability Consultant - if one exists for the capability area).


Manages the business outcomes/expectations by establishing and maintaining working relationships with business management, portfolio sponsors, service providers, and technology management.

  • Ensures program/project tasks are in place to drive adoption.
  • Provides continual updates and proactive visibility of team metrics and supporting documentation.
  • Partners with business and IT stakeholders to drive clarity on work expectations.
  • Ensures that intended business outcomes are clear, understood, measurable, and ultimately realized. Communicates issues & status to the affected stakeholders.


Resource and capacity management including Project and Program Managers, Resource Managers, and project delivery teams-- both domestic and international.

  • Organizes and facilitates feature and story discovery sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint and release planning, sprint demos, retrospectives and other Agile-related events.
  • Works with Resource Management and Vendor Management to ensure the appropriate resources are planned to execute the project (s) related to assigned Program
  • Plan and lead resources and requirements.
  • Ensures the integrity and proactive transparency of the project team's work items, from Benefits and Features down to Stories and Defects that drive the project team.
  • Facilitates, enforces, and defends the project team's delivery through time-boxed sprints
  • Ensures all practices, dialogues and events do not negatively impact the project team's motivation and support the fundamental tenet of expediting feedback.


What we look for:

  • Project management and IT industry experience
  • Certified SAFe Scrum Master or equivalent.
  • Evidence of successfully managing diverse project teams (e.g., outsourced, multi-vendor, or geographically distributed)
  • 6+ years in IT or professional services experiences in IT delivery
  • Experience in using key methodologies such as ITIL, SDLC, PMBOK and PRINCE2
  • 3+ years as a SAFe Scrum Master for a software development team that followed Scrum principles, practice, and theory.
  • 5+ years formal project management experience managing various types of IT projects (e.g., discovery, software development, infrastructure, capital, business intelligence), IT programs and familiarity of working in a Project Management Office
  • Extensive experience in managing large, complex international projects in a multinational/multicultural environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Preferred to have experience in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) transformation.
  • Experience and demonstrated leadership in managing project stakeholder teams from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds
  • Experience working with various projects and portfolio management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Office including Project, SharePoint, and Visio, ServiceNow, PPM, Agile/Scrum methods / waterfall)
  • Proven experience in using sophisticated PPM tool and advanced user in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Sharepoint)
  • Preferred to have experience with Agile Lifecycle Tools such as VersionOne, Rally or Jira.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master in a time-critical, milestone-driven enterprise environment.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.


–Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100

–Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300

–Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
