Position: Scrum Master – HCM Workday

Location: Marlborough, MA- onsite

Duration: Long term contract

Job description: -

• Demonstrate an engineering mindset and awareness of DevSecOps.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and a self-starter .
• Extensive understanding of agile methodology, techniques, frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban) and agile tools (such as Jira and Confluence). Participated in a PI event.
• Communicative and social -- excellent interpersonal and group facilitation skills including the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and personality types.
• Raises risks and blockers when necessary to RTE and appropriate team members/leadership.
• Relevant undergraduate BA, BS degree in IT or Business or equivalent experience
• Continuous improvement mindset and highlights opportunities to improve efficiency of scrum teams.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master with dedicated agile teams using scrum/SAFe.
• Willing and able to hold the team accountable to its vision and values.
• Management of dependencies internal and external to scrum team.
• Removes roadblocks, many of which will be beyond the team’s authority or will require support from other teams.
• Experience with calculating team capacity, analyzing and adjusting learnings from previous sprints.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate on issues of strategy, risk and process.
• Assertive - must be able to ensure agile and scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, and not afraid to be a voice of reason and authority.
• Experience managing more than one scrum team (2 or more)
• Facilitation of all the team’s meetings and ceremonies using SAFe Framework
• Ability to coaches and mentor the team on agile ways of working.
• Situationally Aware -- must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to team and to management, where appropriate
• Experience working closely with PO to understand and align on backlog priorities.
• Certified Scrum Master preferred.
• Proven ability to lead Scrum teams for complex deliveries.
