Position Overview: As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting and ensuring the health and safety of students in the school environment. Your expertise will help create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere that contributes to the overall well-being of students, allowing them to fully engage in their educational journey.
Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed protocols and policies.
• Conduct health screenings, maintain health records, and track immunization compliance.
• Implement and adhere to school health policies and procedures.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy school environment for all.
• Provide professional nursing care to students, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
• Assess and respond to health concerns, injuries, and emergencies as needed.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop health care plans.
• Educate students and staff on health-related topics and preventive measures.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong clinical and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Dedication to maintaining a high standard of ethical and professional conduct.
• Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certification as a School Nurse (CSN) in the state of New Jersey.
