JOB PURPOSE:
This position is responsible executing the supply plan with a standard approach to scheduling across Alphia’s manufacturing locations.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Lead the scheduling team consisting of several manufacturing locations across the USA.
· Responsible for leading, training and developing a team of scheduling professionals
· Process owner for standard scheduling process delivering “One Alphia” approach
· Owns the 4-8 week “schedule” horizon while proactively monitoring and challenging the supply plan
· Responsible for partnering with all site managers to align corporate objectives with plant specific capabilities, efficiency, and constraints.
· Responsible for implementing, reporting on, and driving continuous improvement in network wide schedule adherence.
· Manage and monitor new product launches in all facilities collaborating with cross-functional partners
· Responsible for maintaining all schedule rules, SOP’s capabilities matrices, change over matrices, etc.
· Provide feedback and recommendations to the S&OP process where run rules and supply strategies can be optimized.
· Proactively identify and mitigate potential service issues.
· Work cross functionally with the material planning teams to optimize run strategies for manufacturing locations
· Assume responsibility for own personal development and continuous learning.
· Keep abreast on new technology, methods and regulations related to responsibilities.
· Practice customer intimacy with internal and external customers in day to day responsibilities
· Additional responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
· Education: B.A./B.S. in finance, supply chain, economics or related field. MBA preferred5+ years of related experience in demand planning/supply chain; Experience with Demand Planning software systems
· APICS or IBF preferred
· Expertise in Production Scheduling and / or Supply Planning (in pet food industry or CPG preferred but optional)
· Understanding of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process
· Significant experience with multi-plant planning process, master data and analytics
· Advanced numerate, analytical, and critical thinking skills
· Versed with best-in-class scheduling tools, master data management and other useful platforms (Excel, “Best in Class” Supply Chain Planning Tools)
· Demonstrated competencies in initiative, planning, strategic thinking, problem solving, decision making, and delivering results
· Ability to manage and direct internal and external resources
· Ability to interact with internal customers at all levels and build rapport
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple priorities.
· Ability to analyze and communicate numerical data utilizing analysis and visualization capabilities
· Energetic, authentic, respectful, humble. Ability to develop a climate of enthusiasm, teamwork and cooperation among employees.
· Comfortable working in a collaborative manner with direct and indirect reports and other Alphia team members.
