Work Performed

Drive and operate a heavy-duty refuse truck equipped with automatic lift to take refuse from Dempster Dumpster containers and load and unload special refuse compaction containers as well as special construction trash receivers. Collect and dispose of refuse and waste material from university facilities. Review the work of lower-level employees and assist in the training of new personnel. Follow a predetermined schedule of re fuse collection. Follow a predetermined schedule of preventive maintenance for all sanitation equipment. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Minimum Qualifications

Education

Work requires ability to understand and follow directionsgenerally acquired through a partial high school education.

Experience

Work requires one year experience in operation of sanitation equipment. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE N.C. drivers license and heavy lifting required.
