Job Description

POSITION: Perform Utility position requirements, including but not limited to major accountabilities in a safe, efficient and effective manner.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES (include, but not limited to):

  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
  • Manually or mechanically move/transport, load or unload materials from pallets, skids, racks, carts, etc. also using lifting devices, pallet jacks, automate lifts, or other transport equipment.
  • Follow all Company rules, policies, procedures and requirements especially for: safety, quality, delivery and productivity/cost.
    • Safety: Comply with all safety rules, policies and procedures; Report any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their supervisor; Wear require personal protective equipment (PPE) and re‐ port any defective PPE; Report all near‐misses, incidents, injuries, illnesses, including mobile equipment or property damage; Participation in the site Safety and Health Program.
  • Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.
  • Some previous work-related experience, (working in a manufacturing / production work environment, or working in a warehouse or stocking role, or working in construction, or working in a labor intensive job.)
  • Clean and lubricate equipment.
  • Safety: Comply with all safety rules, policies and procedures; Report any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their supervisor; Wear require personal protective equipment (PPE) and re‐ port any defective PPE; Report all near‐misses, incidents, injuries, illnesses, including mobile equipment or property damage; Participation in the site Safety and Health Program.
  • Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
  • Load and unload items from machines, racks, hangers, conveyors, conveyances or other methods.
  • Help other production workers as required, instructed or requested, such as including but not limited to: supplying or holding materials or tools, or cleaning work areas and equipment.
  • Perform other duties, activities and responsibilities as instructed. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
  • Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
  • Maintain work area(s) in a safe, clean and orderly fashion.
  • Mark or tag identification on parts.
  • Use tools, equipment and technology, including hand or power tools, manufacturing/operations equipment, computers and computerized or automated systems.
  • Able read and interpret work instructions or similar information is preferred
  • Must be able to write legibly and demonstrate good communication skills.
