Job Description
Scott Dunn is an award-winning luxury tour operator creating tailor-made vacations to destinations all over the world. Role Purpose
As an Asia Travel Consultant at Scott Dunn, you will be part of our dedicated Asia team and will focus on selling customized holidays to Asia for our guests. You will have the opportunity to make anything happen, and will be working within a tailormade sales team creating, selling and administering luxury holidays.
Responsibilities
  • To meet guests on a face-to-face basis when possible
  • To take ownership of all aspects of selling and organizing a holiday, including written and verbal quotations and documentation about the trip
  • To support all marketing initiatives in your area including print materials, website updates, email campaigns, PR and promotional events
  • To develop excellent product knowledge for your immediate sales area but also within all areas of the Scott Dunn portfolio
  • To learn and become conversant with all computer software applications
  • To work closely with all departments within Scott Dunn – internationally and domestically
  • To be creative in planning the ultimate holiday for your guest which meets their individual needs
  • To deliver excellent guest service at all stages of booking and demonstrate the key values of Scott Dunn Travel
  • To work towards individual and team sales targets
  • To contact guests right before departure and on their return to ensure they are all set and ready to go as well as receive feedback upon their return
Duties
The duties that derive from these responsibilities include but are not exclusive to:
  • Meeting guests face to face when possible
  • Speaking to all guests on the phone and organising their holiday, by effectively listening to the guest and their requirements
  • Conducting familiarisation trips abroad and presenting back to teams
  • Such other duties as management may reasonably require from time to time
  • Acting on any feedback swiftly to ensure a great guest experience, liaising with the Guest Satisfaction Executive where necessary
  • Completing all travel documentation within specified time frames
  • Management of invoices including handling payments, collecting guest details and organising pre-arrival information
  • Responding to all enquiries in an efficient and timely manner
  • Using sales skills to convert enquiries into bookings
  • Using your excellent customer service and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Handling high volumes of guest phone calls during peak periods
  • Booking of guest flights when requested and managing reservations through Travelodge
  • Training colleagues with knowledge gained from areas visited
  • Demonstrating excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all communication with guests
  • Enjoying work and having fun
  • Attending all internal and external training courses
  • Maintaining contact with guests between booking and departure date, including arranging all concierge requirements
  • Contributing to the team over and above standard sales and service requirements
  • Recording essential data and information using Scott Dunn’s IT software
  • Accounting for costs and margins on each booking
  • Taking responsibility for the guest journey from first point of contact to post travel
  • Attending trade shows, and promotional events

Location
We aim to find someone who would be office based at our premises in San Diego or New York office. All applicants must have a valid US passport or relevant working visa.
