Position Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Mack Trucks Sales and Commercial Operations team!
In this position, you will report to the Director of Sales Operations and work closely with the NA Mack Trucks Commercial Organization by facilitating new truck sales and delivery.
We are looking for a well-rounded and engaged individual who will build an excellent working relationship and will liaise internally with the Sales Team, Production, Logistics, Billing, Controlling, Legal and interact externally with dealers, vendors/bodybuilders and, most important, with Mack customers!
Main Activities and Responsibilities:Manage and track vehicles through the complete sales process (quote preparation, order, production, logistics, body order and installation, pre-inspection, invoice, dealers/vendors payment, warranty registration and final delivery). In order to do so you will:
- Support the sales team with reports, administrative tasks (onboarding, presentations, event organization, SharePoint creation/maintenance and documentation compliance) and ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned.
- Prepare requested documentation to participate in truck RFQs/bids
- Update internal sales systems, Excel files and SharePoint
- Navigate customer systems/websites
- Retail trucks and perform changes in the internal retail/warranty system
- Update shipping to modification centers, body companies, dealers and/or customers
- Identify and recommend sales system and process improvements
- Request/provide additional documents (E.g., certificates, proforma invoices, DMV forms, etc.)
- Provide accurate vehicle status reports
- Track orders in internal systems
- Be in charge of corporate demo vehicles from their request to final sale, including all legal documentation (forms, lease agreements, titles, decals, taxes, apportion renewals, etc.).
- Request quotes from vendors/bodybuilders
- Place orders to vendors/bodybuilders and enter goods receipts in internal systems
- Process credits and invoices
- You have minimum 5 years of customer facing experience and at least 3 years of experience in the Volvo Group. You have solid commercial vehicle business understanding and you have basic knowledge of the Mack products.
- Working knowledge of the following internal systems is preferred: OM, Copilot, Vehicle Tracker, EBD, Vehicle Inquiry, Geofence and VDA.
- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar and you have great computer skills, especially with Microsoft applications: Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and basic Power BI (extracting reports).
