As a NorcomCT Inside Commercial Sales Representative, you will be an integral part of our mission to provide our commercial customer base with technology and communications solutions to include the Motorola ecosystem, which brings together unified voice, data, video and analytics into one solution. Motorola is the world leader in public safety communications and NorcomCT is the premier Motorola partner in New England.
- Occasionally attend trade shows, events and conferences
- Maintain industry certifications
- Prepare equipment lists, quotations, proposals and other sales documents
- Coordinate, prepare and conduct product and solution demonstrations
- Maintain proactive and responsive relationships with existing clients
- Understand and interpret technical concepts and documents related to our industry, clients and vendors
- Directly support, manage and develop accounts assigned to you
- Assist other Sales Team members with account management as required
- Perform other duties as may be required or requested
- Occasionally attend area and national trainings
- Prospect potential new clients to initiate sales leads
- Understand clients’ business practices and needs and provide solutions to increase organizational efficiency and enhance communications
- Provide and assist with general customer service support including: answering inbound calls, and creating customer support cases
- Meet or exceed established sales goals
- Communicate the status of leads, sales plan progress and competitive activity, including accurate and timely forecasting to Norcom management
- Proficiency with creation, development and formatting of documents and spreadsheets utilizing Microsoft Office suite
- Maintain valid state driver’s license with a good driving record
- Exceptional time management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with responsive and timely follow-up skills
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
- Pass initial and ongoing company and client background checks
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a customer service role or inside sales position
- Positive and team-oriented attitude
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Understanding of budget cycles and procurement processes
- Experience prospecting and closing sales utilizing both consultative and relationship-based sales skills
- Sales experience with technology solutions into industrial or government organizations
- Experience with the use of two-way radio communications systems or equipment
- Background check, Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and drug test
- Complete three online assessments
