Sales Consultant-Locksmith, Schlage Lock - San Diego/Orange County, CA (Remote)

The Sales Consultant - Locksmith is responsible for driving territory revenue in the Non-Specified Replacement and Small Renovation markets through program execution in San Diego and surrounding territory. Specific responsibilities include developing relationships and program support and execution with targeted accounts. The position will ensure focus, local execution, and serve as a catalyst on the new programs and products launched by the Channel Led Business Team.

What You Will Do:

o Lead the local execution of Channel Led programs to targeted accounts such as Wholesale Accounts, Locksmiths, Door Shops, Glaziers, and Contractors.

o Partner with Wholesale and Distributor Sales Consultants on the targeted direct accounts such as Hardware Distributors where appropriate.

o Provide focus and local sales execution on targeted Channel Led programs and products to targeted accounts.

o Develop strong working relationships and provide support with targeted indirect and direct accounts to achieve revenue and growth goals.

o Develop joint business plans at targeted accounts.

o Establish a regular call pattern with indirect and direct accounts.

o Provide regular feedback to Channel Led team on indirect and direct channel partner needs for growth.

o Understand business and market dynamics that drive channel led segment for assigned territory and be aware of competition influence and performance.

o Establish and maintain relationships with indirect dealers to capture discretionary opportunities

What You Need to Succeed:

o High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

o 3-5+ years sales experience, industry experience preferred, Bachelor’s Degree required with no previous industry experience

o Industry sales or marketing experience associated with locksmiths and/or contractors is desired

o Ability to think strategically and problem solve with entrepreneurial commitment to achieving goals

o Ability to work with and influence a variety of indirect and direct accounts

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills

o Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action

o Self-motivated with entrepreneurial mind-set

o Strong presentation skills required

o Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute on business plans

o Ability to partner with customers and internal cross functional teams

o Customer-centric with the ability to balance both customer benefits and business financials effectively

o Ability to travel up to 25% to surrounding areas and occasional internal meetings

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

The expected Base Salary Range: $59,220 – 122,920. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
