Looking for an all-star Safety Coordinator to join our team in Northern California.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a motivated self-starter to provide administrative and technical support for the Safety Department. This role will perform a wide variety of tasks including monitoring field safety performance, tracking incidents, and coordinating safety meetings and training.

  • Documents all safety incidents.
  • Coordinates and tracks all First Aid/CPR, OSHA, SWPPP, equipment training and certificates of completion and renewals.
  • Assembles first responder bags and tool bags.
  • Reviews and updates the Safety Manual, IIPP, MSD Sheets and Safety Forms as needed.
  • Tracks and schedules online Click-Safety training.
  • Liaison for safety and field teams
  • Conducts monthly office safety check of fire extinguishers, flashlights, first aid kits, AED unit, etc.
  • Performs new hire safety orientations.
  • Distributes and tracks weekly safety meeting forms.
  • Coordinates quarterly safety meetings and construction team meetings.
  • Works with the project team to provide and or obtain safety submittals for subcontractors as required.
  • Maintains OSHA logs.
  • Provides administrative support to the Safety Director(s), Managers(s) and Officers(s).
  • Plans annual construction team event.
  • Maintains and distributes field posting kits.
  • Maintains inventory of safety material, equipment, and gear.

Qualifications:

  • Intermediate level in Procore or similar database management software
  • Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently, manage long term projects and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum two years administrative experience with preference in a construction or safety related industry
  • Familiar with or open to learning OSHA administrative requirements.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate level understanding of digital images (how to open, view, customize and print them)
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments.
  • Strong attention to detail
