Rn Supervisor, Patient Care

The primary duties of the RN Supervisor of Clinic Operations include:

• Takes proactive initiative in quality management
• Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
• Manages daily staffing for assigned clinic operations.
• Responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency.
• Participates in budget planning and management.
• Works in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
• Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff, including managing daily staffing plans.
• Management and development of clinical staff.
• Contributes to operations management of assigned business unit(s).

This is a Full time, Salary position with hours within 0700-1700 for an 8 hour shift, and located at Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited program.
• Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through. Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
• Two years applicable clinical experience in the OR is required with leadership preferred

Required Certification/Registration:

• Maintains current California RN license.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS for Healthcare Provider and all competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• BSN and/or certification in area of specialty if applicable
• Leadership experience strongly preferred
