Administer nursing care by assisting in caring for substance abuse by giving direct care. The RN will serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, supporting the organization, and program philosophy of care. The RN will ensure the safety and well-being of each patient. The RN ensures all medical orders are followed, initiates and follows treatment planning, and acts as a patient advocate at all times.

Work Experience: Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

• Maintain and work within established departmental and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Lead nursing education groups.
• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients.
• Obtain vitials, urine drug screens, breathalyzer results from patients along with other testing as ordered by the physician
• Conduct Outpatient nursing checkins.
• Assess and evaluate patients who have reported accidents. Ensure accident reports are completed.
• CPR certification and Handle With Care (HWC) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required. Must be at least 18 years of age. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Ensure that a clean, comfortable and safe environment for patients is maintained at all times and assure that patient needs are met.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation of all services.
• May be required to perform other duties responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
• Participate in the development of the treatment plan and assessment for each patient and review and revise as appropriate.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
