Rn Registered Nurse - Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist - Remote | Wfh

As a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate clinical documentation and coding, which is essential to providing high-quality patient care. We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative individual who can work closely with physicians, mid-level providers, and coding staff to accurately reflect the patient's clinical status and care in their medical records.
You will have the opportunity to initiate and maintain extensive interactions with healthcare professionals, including physicians and mid-level providers, to address the need for more detailed information in the medical record. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the severity of illness and level of services provided are accurately reflected in the medical record, and to resolve physician queries and documentation issues prior to the patient's discharge.
Maintaining accurate records of review activities and providing education to the healthcare team on an ongoing basis regarding documentation opportunities, coding and reimbursement issues, and relevant quality and performance improvement activities will also be important aspects of this role.
To be successful in this position, you will need to be a Registered Nurse and have a diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at the time of hire. Additionally, you should be passionate about providing high-quality patient care and eager to learn and grow in your role.
