Duties

• Assist the physician(s) in the performance of emergency procedures.
• Perform patient assessment focusing on physiologic, psychologic, cognitive and social status by interviewing patient and/or adult guardian to obtain pertinent medical and social history.
• Continually assess patient(s) condition(s) for potential or life threatening crisis. Monitors and documents patient response to treatment in a timely fashion.
• Operate hemodynamic equipment safely and effectively. Interpret generated data and responds appropriately.

Experience

• Possess a minimum of 1 year experience within the last two years as an RN working in an Emergency Department setting.

Certifications

• TNCC or ATCN Medtrust will sponsor your class!
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS by the American Heart Association

Licenses

• Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in any one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• Possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing from any state accredited program.

• Provide direct patient care in a respectful, timely and culturally appropriate manner
• Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program
• One year of practical or vocational nurse experience in Women’s Health within the last three years
• Room, vitals, chief complaint, medical history
• Telephone triage, refer for specialty procedures & tests
• Patient communications schedule appointments, refill prescriptions, follow-up on visits
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
• Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse
