Job Summary And Qualifications


The Risk Analyst RN assists the Director with the collection, analysis and evaluation of data in response to risk-related events and proactively in an effort to mitigate and/or prevent harm. The Risk Analyst RN prepares recommendations for development or changes in Risk Management practices and collaborates with other members of the Health Care Improvement team to provide overall support to the department and the hospital’s Health Care Improvement program. The Risk Analyst RN supports the mission, vision and values of Medical City Plano and promotes, advocates, and supports all staff by ensuring a primary commitment to protect the health, safety and rights of the patient, family, staff and/or community. What You Will Do In This Role


  • You will be responsible for coordinating systems necessary for identification, evaluation, monitoring, education and/or elimination of professional and general liability exposures.
  • You will collect, analyze and evaluate data to develop recommendations for improvement within the department and throughout the facility.
  • You will assist with Risk Assessments and ongoing Readiness/Regulatory Compliance.
  • You will recommend and facilitate change within the organization to improve patient safety, based on identified risks.
  • You will facilitate the Root Cause Analysis process for sentinel events.


What Qualifications You Will Need


  • RN Required
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with chart reviews; excellent computer skills required
  • Exceptional communication skills: listening, verbal and written
  • Minimum of 3 yrs experience in healthcare; prefer 2 yrs Patient Safety, Rick Management and/or Accreditation experience
  • CLNC or CPHQ
