The Revenue Cycle Support Specialist provides support to our Revenue Cycle team. The role may require assistance with EMR including application support, obtaining insurance verifications and authorizations, OASIS submissions support, monitoring changes, and documenting/reporting issues while maintaining application integrity.
Primary Responsibilities:
Research, resolve, and correct returned claims.
Verify Room & Board facility invoices.
Enter Room and Board Rates
Verify patient’s Room and Board benefits and obtain authorization.
Assisting users with questions, software navigation, and issue resolution.
Communicate with users via phone, email, and live chat.
Research, resolve, and respond to end-user/problems/questions received via ticketing system & telephone calls.
Other duties as assigned.
This is a remote position with occasional travel – 0%-25%
Qualifications
Ability to learn and become proficient in all workflows within each platform.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
3-5 years of billing/collections experience in Hospice.
Knowledge of billing and collections in Home Health Preferred.
3-5 years of Room and Board insurance verifications/authorizations, facility invoicing and collections.
Knowledge of HCHB preferred.
Knowledge of Hospice required.
Knowledge of Home Health Preferred.
Ability to multi-task in high stress situations
Demonstrated coaching, training, and mentoring skills.
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize actions items to ensure deadlines are met, as well as the needs of client base.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluent.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
Must have strong work ethics.
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable and a self-starter.
Basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills and data analysis.
Ability to interact with others in a professional manner.
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative.
Education, Professional License, or Certification Requirements
Highschool degree or GED
