The mission of a Syndigo Retail Program Manager is to be an all-encompassing, client-facing product liaison for major retail/distributor clients in our food and grocery division. The Retail Program Manager oversees all day-to-day management, reporting, and advisory tasks of new or established programs, across related Syndigo products offerings on behalf of assigned clients.


The Retail Program Manager is responsible for the management of the complete project life cycle: discovery, analysis, estimation, development, quality control, delivery, and maintenance phases in conjunction with product & technical implementation teams. Serves as a subject matter expert for all program details both to external parties related to the client, and internal parties such as stakeholders and account executives.


Must have prior experience in a client-facing, account/project management role.

  • Cost: Responsible for creating program estimates, tracking program expenses, managing forecasted against actual costs, and meeting budgeted hours. If applicable.
  • Risk: Keeps program team and management informed of program risks and takes efforts to manage and minimize program risks.
  • Solutions: Create the detailed specifications and high-level solution design which defines how the business requirements will be met, documenting current and future process flows as well as use cases in partnership with data engineering and development teams.
  • Implementation: Manages the complete project life cycle, including: discovery, analysis, estimation, development, quality control, delivery, and maintenance phases in conjunction with the product & technical implementation teams
  • Time: Develops and maintains program plans, including: analysis, planning, tracking, reporting, and evaluating program milestones and deliverables.
  • Human Resources: Influence without authority. Manages resource constraints, performs weekly allocation of program resources, and directs resource activities.
  • Scope: Manages program scope according to program requirements and client constraints.
  • Quality: Manages program outcomes and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Ensures that all program goals are achieved according to specifications and business objectives.
  • Communication: Responsible for day-to-day client and program team communication. Coordinates client interaction, program meetings, program updates, etc. Responsible for keeping historical accounts of progress and communications. Periodic travel to partners & Syndigo Corporate offices.
  • Requirements: Leads requirements gathering sessions with the client’s business and IT users to clearly define and document the business need, working with the client to determine which needs are met by the core application and which needs would fall under a services agreement.

  • Attribytes system experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Jira preferred
  • Experience working with executive-level customers, suppliers and consultants to gather requirements, develop & execute program plans.
  • 5+ years’ experience in project management or client-related position in SaaS
  • Must demonstrate excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Exposure to the retail industry a plus
  • May require travel for client meetings
  • Experience with software packages, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business, and/or related field
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experienced user of SmartSheet, Excel & SharePoint
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business and/or other related field
