The IT Business Analyst role at US Foods partners with our business to define areas of functional need and translate those needs into requirements for project execution. The primary areas of responsibility include:
  • \tTranslate business needs into actionable technology requirements
  • \tCreate and execute procedures to ensure quality supportable product
  • \tAnalyze current state and provide gap analysis to support roadmap
  • \tUnderstand and document business requirements
  • \tDevelop and describe business benefit
  • \tCreate and cascade reference and training material

Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Business Analyst II position is completed 100% remotely anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories. This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop simple user or training documentation and provide one-on-one user support.
  • Provide data to support business case development.
  • Use the best fit development methodology to turn pain points into either user requirements or user stories; create appropriately detailed documentation within the right tool. Consider known problems as well as requested enhancements.
  • Attend workshops and document As Is and To Be work process flows. Identify potential process improvements for consideration.
  • Create business process documentation using established standards and identify and update related documentation.
  • Work with the Command Center(s) on production support during warrantee phases.
  • Interview and shadow business stakeholders to observe the way that work is done, noting gaps and opportunities for future technology improvements.
  • Provide input into and feedback of testing scripts. Develop and implement data cleansing and environment set-up. Support QA and business resources during testing effort and refines testing and scripts as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent experience.

Related Experience/Requirements:
  • Ability to travel up to 20% per year
  • Previous experience in a US Foods role, or minimum 4 years of experience in retail.

Preferred Experience:

  • Dynamics 365 ERP implementation experience particularly in Retail

  • Microsoft Office Applications proficiency

  • Composing and Defining Complex Data Flows

  • Azure DevOps proficiency

  • MPOS, CPOS, and Omnichannel Solutions including Physical Locations & eCommerce

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to manage application/product backlogs. Familiarity with JIRA is preferred.
  • Ability to model business process. Familiarity with standard flowcharting tools such as Visio or Lucidchart is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong group facilitation skills.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and tools include waterfall and agile.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $69,400 and $92,500. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is between $81,800 and $109,100 . In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $77,700 and $103,600. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $77,000 and $103,600. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
