The Residential Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the assigned residential program including the hiring, supervising, and disciplining of direct care and ancillary staff. They are to ensure compliance with all DDD regulations and J-ADD policies at all times and work alongside the clinical team to ensure that the consumers’ needs and choices are met. They will oversee all consumer-related procedures and responsibilities including but not limited to medical issues, financial matters, programmatic concerns and documentation thereof, and all other matters related to the safety and well-being of the individuals living in the home. They are required to carry out direct care responsibilities as a routine part of the job when necessary and are responsible for the maintenance of a safe and clean physical environment at all times.They will also ensure that all administrative responsibilities of the home are attended to.

Residential Manager Job Requirements:
- Accounting for medication used and its availability.
- The residential manager will ensure that the environment is safe
- The manager is required to complete all electronic data entry in the electronic health record system.
- Develop and maintain staffing schedules in a timely fashion.
- Will be involved in the hiring process by interviewing candidates.
- The residential manager is responsible for the prudent financial management of the group home.
- The manager will review all staff time sheets and/or timecards and submit payroll punctually.
- Ensuring that procedure is followed for hospitalization, discharge and ER visits.
- The manager will cooperate with J-ADD staff and state agencies such as DDD and DDL in a professional fashion during investigations and inspections.
- The manager will ensure that the consumers’ medical needs and choices are met.
- The residential manager position requires a minimum of forty hours per week.
- Ensures that all staff receives the training needed
- Reviewing and assessing the ongoing scheduling of appointments.
- Assisting the consumer in managing his/her finances.
- The residential manager is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the home
- BA degree in related field or two years of experience working in a social service agency.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
